Moto Guzzi Astore, 1951, Italy

Heir to the G.T.V., the Astore is undoubtedly the most impressive half-liter of those directly descended from the original project by Carlo Guzzi.
The Astore was robust, powerful, comfortable, with a torquey engine.  This model was aimed to a limited numbers of clients, lovers of "grand touring" and alpine excursions.
The engine head was updated compared to the previous G.T.V., now with closed distribution and in oil bath, a solution already put into practice in 1948 on the Airone.
In 1950 the Falcone will join the line up, initally being the sports version of the Astore (as it was for the G.T.W. and G.T.V.), but later ending its production after a couple of years, in 1953, with the unveiling of the Falcone Turismo.
