Jonathan Charles Palmer (London, 7 November 1956) is a British former racing driver.

English Fomula 3 and Formula 2 Champion, he spent most of his career in Formula 1 and Sportcar Championship. In Formula 1 he raced for Williams, RAM, Zakspeed and Tyrrell, to which his best results are connected and with which he won "Trofeo Jim Clark", a competition reserved to naturally aspirated engine cars.

Steering Wheels:

  • This steering wheel in our collection was fitted on the single-seater 01 or 02 of the RAM team, which he raced with during the 1984 Formula 1 World Championship. The car's lack of competitiveness proved the British driver's downfall as he was unable to win any championship points.

  • In 1986, the year to which this steering wheel belongs, fitted on a Zakspeed model 864, Palmer competed very well, but once again was given a non-competitive car and it was an uphill challenge to win any Grand Prix.
