Peugeot, racing bicycle, 1907
Short-geared racing bicycles for mountain racing. The Peugeot brand takes its name from a French family of industrialists. The company started as a yarn factory in 1804. Two of the founder’s children in 1810 will open a foundry; the nephews Jules and Emile, will move the company to Valentigney. In this town the cousins Eugene and Emile in 1885, will start the production of bicycles and later power-driven vehicles.
