Rome 8-9 June
The prestigious The REB Concours will occur in Rome from 8 to 9 June at the Roma Polo Club, the most exclusive and aristocratic Italian clubs founded in the 1930s. The renowned competition will feature almost 50 vintage cars in six categories, as well as numerous cars and motorbikes out of competition, and a jury composed of representatives from the worlds of institutions, diplomacy, journalism and art. Also among the judges for this edition is Silvia Nicolis, President of the eponymous museum in Villafranca di Verona.
The Museo Nicolis will take part in the important event, an unmissable appointment for the most important collectors in Europe and for enthusiasts from all over the world, presenting one of its most precious jewels out of competition, the rare Lancia “Beta 20 HP” SGV del 1911. This is a masterpiece of engineering and design, fitted out by the American SGV on a Lancia type B long chassis. Fitted with a roundabout-type body, it has a large fuel tank with a capacity of around 100 liters and is equipped with dual accelerators, both pedal, and steering wheel-mounted.
The six competing categories will be examined by leading representatives of civil society and institutions, basing their judgement solely on the emotion conveyed by each model. In addition to Silvia Nicolis, the judges include the President of the jury Lamberto Giannini, Prefect of Rome, the famous art critic and columnist Vittorio Sgarbi and Marco Lollobrigida, deputy director of Rai Sport.
