Philippe Streiff (La Tronche, 26 June 1955) is a French former racing driver, who raced also in Formula 1. He took part in 53 Grand Prix, obteinig a podium and 11 championship point between 1984 and 1988.
Philippe Streiff was an unlucky driver. He began to compete in the top tier in 1984, after having climbed the ranks through the minor formulas ( European Formula 3, French Formula 3, Formula Renault, Formula 2) and was hired by the Renault team, however, he only raced at the Portuguese Grand Prix, the last race of the world championship that year. In 1989, he was sadly involved in an accident that left him wheelchair-bound.
- 1986 was his finest year driving, finishing 14th in the driver standings thanks to a 6th place at the British Grand Prix and a 5th at the Australian Grand Prix. This steering wheel in our collection was assembled on Tyrrell 014 or 015.
